So unlucky not to come off the cold list yesterday. If Halondo hadn’t have hit the last hurdle and landed awkwardly he wins his race. When your luck is out, it’s out.
Today’s selections are from Newcastle and Kempton.
Newcastle
4:15 – Eldrickjones – 4/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Seemed to win with a bit in hand over C&D 8 days ago. A 5lb penalty wouldn’t stop him, albeit he’s in a better race here, if in the same form and he’s only been out of the first two once in five starts at the track.
Kempton
7:00 – Urban Decay – 7/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Gained a second career success over C&D three weeks ago. She’s 4lb higher today but the daughter of Frankel has just had six starts so could be capable of better. Despite a wider than ideal draw in stall 13, I’m taking Urban Decay at the prices.
7:30 – Enthrallment – 13/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Has only had three starts since joining Kevin Philippart de Foy. In good form when last seen in action in July finishing ¾-length 2nd of 9 at Ascot in July. He’s gone well fresh so a 124 day break shouldn’t stop him from going well. Shaped with plenty of promise when a 2 ¼ length 4th of 14 to Savvy Victory on stable/all-weather debut over C&D in June.
