3:50 – Ali Star Bert – 6/1 @ Bet365 – Ali Star Bert comes into the race in great vein of form having won three of his last four starts. Looked in need of further when winning at Wetherby 20 days ago. The 8-year-old has been nudged up 3lb and is up a notch in class but looks the one to beat.
4:25 – Glen Cannel – 6/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Glen Cannel ran like he needed last month’s belated seasonal reappearance at Carlisle. A dual novice hurdle winner last season he needs to step up again to win off his present mark, but he could be capable of doing so for a yard among the winners.
