Today’s selections are from Musselburgh and Epsom
Musselburgh
4:05 – Tacitus – 7/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – The selection broke his maiden tag at the 18th attempt when beating seven rivals at Redcar 11 days ago. Up 4lb for that success but Zac Wheatley booked, and he takes off 5lb which negates the weight rise. Different track today and will need a strong gallop if his hold up tactics are to work again. That said he’s handicapped to follow up if in the same form as last time.
Epsom
8:00 – Marlay Park – 2/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Looked to be returning to form at Goodwood two starts back and duly improved to finish a 2 lengths 3rd of 12 to Spanish Star over C&D last time. The 5-year-old has an exceptional record over C&D – 3 wins from 9 runs, 8 places and can never be ruled out at his local track. Drops back into Class 4 company and has plenty in his favour.
