I suspect both today’s selections will need the rain to stay away today.
Ludlow
6:25 – Marettimo – 11/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Caused a 25/1 shock when winning here (3m) 13-days ago. He’s got one and half furlongs further to go today but is only 2lb higher and should go close. He seemed well suited to good ground last time so hopefully Ludlow didn’t have to much rain on Monday.
7:00 – Carole’s Pass – 9/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – The top weight won a good novice hurdle at Newbury last November. Not as good on her next two starts but the mare shaped much better when a 4 ½ length 5th of 15 to Afadil in a similar race at Ayr 18-days ago. Off the same mark here but Patrick Wadge takes off a handy 5lb Another who probably needs good ground to be at her best but if she gets it can win this handicap hurdle.
