Today’s selections are from Nottingham and Kempton and I’m going for a swing at one at big odds at the latter track.
Nottingham
4:25 – Ravigil – 13/2 – Gen – The filly looked a work in progress on her four juvenile starts. And ended last season with a solid 2 ¾ length 3rd of 10 on nursery debut over C&D (soft) in October. She was doing her best work at the finish and shaped like further would suit. Today’s ground should ensure a good stamina test which should suit her.
Kempton
7:30 – Longlai – 16/1 – Gen – The selection is having his first start since October and his first run for a new yard. Fitness must be taken on trust, but the 5-year-old did win on seasonal return in April 2021, off a 7lb higher mark for his previous trainer. Not disgraced when a 3 length 5th of 12 on his sole all-weather start in the summer of 2021 and is on a good mark.
