Today’s selections are from Wincanton and Wolverhampton.
Wincanton
2:40 – Call Of The Wild – 4/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Looked progressive when two of his four starts in novice hurdle company two seasons back. Began last season in the same vein when 3rd of 10 at Ascot on handicap hurdle debut last autumn. Didn’t jump well over fences on two subsequent starts last season and fell out back over hurdles on seasonal return at Aintree last time. Despite questions mark over his jumping the step up to 2m should suit the 6-year-old and he’s fancied to return to form.
Wolverhampton
8:00 – Lord Riddiford – 4/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – The selection, a previous dual C&D winner who also tasted success at Goodwood in August, showed a return to form with a 1 ½ length 3rd of 9 at Newcastle 13 days ago. A return to C&D is a plus and the top weight is poised to get back to winning ways this evening.
