Today’s Wincanton card is yet another turf jumps meeting that’s been lost to the weather. That just leaves me with a selection from the lucky last Chelmsford.

8:30 – Alexi Boy – 11/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – The selection won on the polytrack at Lingfield (5f) in August and was a good neck 2nd of 9 in a similar race back at that venue 12 days ago. A 3lb rise makes life tougher but should go close once more. Weak in the early market which means he’s edged out to value odds.
