Today’s selections are from Carlisle, Cork, and the Curragh.
Carlisle
2:30 – Bass Rock – 4/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Won here on seasonal return last November and has only been out of the first two once on five starts at Carlisle. I don’t think we have seen the best of the 7-year-old over fences, and he might be able to cause a bit of a surprise in this Listed contest.
Cork
3:50 – Gorgeous Suspect – 6/1 @ Ladbrokes- Won a maiden hurdle (2m 6f) at Limerick when last seen in action 101 days ago. The handicapper has kept the 7-year-old on the same mark, and he remains capable of hurdles back in handicap company.
Curragh
3:35 – Chally Chute – 7/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – The selection went very close in a valuable handicap at the Galway Festival in August. Set too much to do form the rear, nearest at the finish when 4th of 18 in the October Handicap at Leopardstown two weeks ago. Worth his place in Listed company and given his proven stamina can better the returning Hans Anderson who drops in class but is steeping up ½ mile in distance.
