Today’s selections are from Musselburgh and Goodwood.
Musselburgh
5:45 – Morag McCullagh – 5/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – A half-sister to the useful James Garfield she won at Kempton on her seasonal return and then followed up with an excellent effort when a 1¾ length 3rd of 12 in a Chelmsford Listed race last time. She didn’t get the best of runs 1f out that day and would have finished closer with a clearer passage. Just the three-career start for the 3-year-old who looks open to more progress than her main rivals.
Goodwood
1:30 – The Attorney – 5/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – The selection was a close-up 4th in this corresponding race 12 months ago and was in good form for the rest of the summer including two wins over 7f at Leicester and Lingfield. Likely needed the run and probably didn’t enjoy soft ground when only 7th of 8 over C&D 16-days ago. Better expected here provided the rain has stayed away.
3:15 – Mellow Magic – 4/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – The filly has returned to action in good form winning at Windsor and then finishing runner-up twice here, including over C&D last time. Stays 2m and should give her running once more.
