Today’s sole selection comes from Punchestown.

1:35 – James’s Gate – 7/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Odds on favourite Mystical Power, trained by Willie Mulllins, will be tough to beat but I’m taking a chance on the selection to cause a bit of a surprise. James’s Gate has his first run since joining Martin Brassil (same owners) from Willie Mullins when an 11 ½ length 4th of 23 to King of Kingsfield in maiden at Leopardstown on hurdling debut 19 days ago. Thrown in the deep end here but is open to further improvement in the sphere.
