Today’s selections are from Beverley and Sandown.
Beverley
2:05 – Aimeric – 4/1 @ Bet365 – The selection returned from wind surgery and a 238 day break to win a Doncaster handicap (1m 4f) in June. Not disgraced when a 4 length 8th of 18 in the Duke Of Edinburgh Handicap at Royal Ascot but ran too bad to be true when tailed off last at Newmarket last time. The 4-year-old is less exposed than his seven rivals and if he bounces back won’t be far away.
Sandown
3:38 – Aabian – 7/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Charlie Appleby has had a tough summer by his high standards. Not sure if his yard has had a virus or not. However, he seems to be in some form now and I’m taking Aabian to win Sandown’s Solario Stakes. The son of Dubawi looked a useful prospect when making a winning debut at Newmarket last month and the trainer has saddled the winner of this race in 2017 & 2022.
