Today’s selections are from Ayr & Newmarket.
Ayr
1:42 – Wakool – 100/30 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – The selection won this race 12 months ago from 8lb lower but went on to land a Grade to at Haydock in February. He’s had a recent run on the flat which should put him spot on fitness side for today. Yard among the winners and should go close under top weight.
Newmarket
13:02 – Razeyna – 7/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – The 4-year-old wins have come on a sound surface but she’s also effective on soft ground. Stays 7f so the drop to 6f on testing ground will bring the filly’s stamina into play. Has been ultimately frustrating this season but she’s got another chance to gain a first success of 2023.
2:47 – Beautiful Love – 9/2 @ Bet365 – Got off the mark at the third attempt when winning a C&D novice 42 days ago. First run on ground worse than good but if she handles it she’s going the right way and ultimately could prove better than a handicapper.
3:57 – Hodler – 5/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Finished runner-up in this corresponding race last year. More miss than hit this year but bounced back from several lesser efforts when a 2 length 2nd of 7 at Leicester 18 days ago. Now 2lb lower than 12 months ago and should be in the shake up.
