Today’s selections are from Lingfield, Newcastle and Kempton.
Lingfield
2:40 – Outbreak – 6/1 @ Bet365 – The lightly raced 4-year-old returned from a 11 month absence and gelding operation to finish an encouraging 1¾ length 5th of 13 at Wolverhampton 12-days ago. Looks on a competitive mark and win isn’t far away if he can build on last time.
Newcastle
4:03 – Five Star Getaway – 7/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Has a poor run at Kempton over Christmas to overcome but he hadn’t shaped badly on his first two starts this season. Slight concern that the drop back to 2m 4f will provide an inadequate stamina test for the 9-year-old but the first time cheekpieces are applied and he’s too well handicapped to ignore.
Kempton
4:10 – Ivaldi – 4/1 @ Paddy Power & Betfair Sportsbook – A winner in France he’s yet to score on four starts since joining Paul Nicholls. Has been keen in his races and was dropped in and set to much to do when a running on 18 ½ length 4th of 12 at Ascot last Saturday. Probably capable of winning off his present mark but does need to settle.
