Today’s selections are from Newbury and Wolverhampton.
Newbury
2:40 – Amarillo Sky – 9/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Hasn’t been seen since finishing lame in the in the Clarence House Chase 378 days ago. Prior to that the 8-year-old had been on the upgrade winning his previous two starts. You must take on trust that he’s over what has kept him off the track for a year. It would be a good training performance to win this after such a long layoff, but the 8-year-old did win for the first-time 0ut last season.
Wolverhampton
6:30 – Torrent – 7/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – The selection takes on a couple of expensive Charlie Appleby newcomers but I’m hoping he can put his experience to good use here and beat them. Shaped with ability on two starts as a juvenile and he should be suited by the step up to 1m 4f. Yard in good form and he’s the pick on a return from a 136-day layoff.
