Today’s selections are from Doncaster, Chelmsford and Kempton.
Doncaster
5:50 – Aone Ally – 100/30 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Is a six race maiden on the flat but the 5-year-old did miss all last season. His best RPR came when a ¾ length 2nd of 11 over C&D in October 2021 on soft ground. Had a recent spin over hurdles which indicated that he has retained plenty of ability after his long layoff.
Chelmsford
7:00 – Iconic Moment – 3/1 @ Bet365 – Returned from a 4 month break and took his unbeaten record to three, including two wins here as a juvenile, when winning at Lingfield 28-days ago. Stays 7f well and whilst not guaranteed stamina wise to be as good at mile he does hold a 2000 Guineas entry. Open to improvement and looks a useful 3-year-old prospect. Yard 3-6 with its runners in the past two weeks.
Kempton
2:05 – Phantom Flight – 100/30 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Looked ready for the step up into pattern company when comfortably winning a valuable handicap at York’s Ebor Festival. However, he was beaten at odds-on in an Ayr Listed race last September. Ran too bad to be true that day and better expected today. Makes his polytrack debut but remains the pick in this Listed contest.
