Today’s selections are from Redcar and Kempton.
Redcar
3:00 – Belhaven – 3/1 – Gen – Belhaven made it 2-2 over C&D when winning the Final of this series last October. That was a personal best by the filly and although she starts the season off 2lb higher she had a bit in hand last time and remains on a competitive mark. Handles ease in the ground and if she’s ready to roll after a 198-day layoff looks the one to be with.
4:40 – Lunar Jet – 15/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – A previous C&D winner the 9-year-old bounced back to form when 6 lengths third of 12 at Doncaster 16-days ago. Effective on testing ground and is down to a winnable mark.
Kempton
7:00 – Double Time – 11/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Has returned from a short break in good form and last time beat six rivals at Wolverhampton 18-days ago. A previous C&D winner he’s only had nine starts so he might be able to defy a 3lb rise in the weights but he does need to settle than he did last time.
