Today’s selections are from Wetherby and Wexford.
Wetherby
3:25 – Front View – 15/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – The Selection returned from a near two year absence with an eyecatching 7 ½ length 7th of 15 to Hacker des Places at Cheltenham in January. However, he didn’t build on that promise 18-days later when last of 8 over C&D. A combination of good ground and quick race could have found out him out that day and I can see him doing much better today.
4:25 – Divine Inspiration – 3/1 @ Bet365 & Paddy Power – A winner of an Irish Point 12 months ago the 6-year-old hasn’t shown much in three hurdles start but he’s bred to do well over the larger obstacles and looks in need of a step up to 3m for his handicap/chase debut.
Wexford
5:40 – Baldur’s Gate – 7/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Looked to have improved when a 1 ½ length 2nd of 13 at Thurles 13-days ago. Should be ok on heavy ground and did look like more of a stamina test would have suited him last time. This is just the 8-year-old’s third start in handicap company so he remain capable of a bit better.
