3:15 – Revasser – 7/2 @ Bet365 – The selection improved for the step into handicap company for the first time when a 2 length 4th of 9 at Fakenham 29-days ago. Shaped last time like 3m + would suit. Remains capable of better over hurdles

3:50 – Uallrightharry – 5/1 @ Bet365 & Coral – Bounced back to winning ways for a return to C&D last month. He’s not the most reliable but a 5lb rise doesn’t look harsh if he’s in the same form as last time.

Sunday Selections – January 29th 2023

Hi all,

Things didn’t go to plan yesterday. Here’s hoping that today’s proves to be more fruitful. Today’s selections are from Naas and Southwell.

Naas

3:52 – Gold Speed – 11/2 @ Bet365 & Paddy Power – The selection has returned from an 18 month absence with a couple of good efforts over hurdles. Finishing a neck 2^nd of 23 at Navan before not being ideally placed when a 12 length 4^th of 14 at Leopardstown 33-days ago. He’s been given a chance by the handicapper and should be there or thereabouts.

Southwell

4:10 – Clonakilty – 11/4 @ Bet365 & Paddy Power – Built on the promise of his hurdle debut when winning a Uttoxeter maiden (good to soft) last month. Struggled on heavy ground, under a penalty at Leicester last time. Starts out in handicap company on a workable mark and can go close on a today’s better ground.

Saturday Selections – Janaury 28th 2023

Hi all,

I’m back from a short holiday refreshed and raring to go. Today’s selections are from Cheltenham Trials Day.

Cheltenham

12:10 – Dalamoi – 7/1 @ Bet365 & Coral – Looked a useful chasing prospect when winning on his debut over fences at Kempton in November and when a ½ length 2^nd of 8 at Chepstow the following month. The 6-year-old took a heavy fall back at that venue last time but provided his confidence hasn’t been dented has scope to better over fences.

3:00 – Dashel Drasher – 11/4 @ Bet365 & Coral – The consistent 10-year-old was no match for Marie’s Rock in the Grade 2 to Relkeel Hurdle here (2m 4f) on New Year’s Day. However, he’s likely to give his running once more and there’s a good chance that he’ll stay today’s 3m. Especially as it seems likely that he’ll get his own way out in front here.

4:10 – Punctuation – 7/2 @ Bet365 – The selection made it 4-4 since joining the Fergal O’Brien yard when successful in a C&D handicap hurdle last month. The 6-year-old has been raised 8lb for his latest win but had plenty in hand at the line and can go in again.

Sunday Selections – January 22nd 2023

Hi all.

Lingfield’s Winter Million card was not surprisingly lost to the freezing weather. That leaves the best of the action across the Irish Sea at Thurles

Thurles

1:40 – Chacun Pour Soi – 7/4 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Grade 1 two mile winning chaser Chacun Pour Soi was in the process of a running a big race when making a bad mistake two out on his seasonal reappearance at Leopardstown over Christmas. Stamina to prove but the 11-year-old shapes like he’s worth a try over today’s distance.

4:10 – Ferns Lock – 6/5 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Winning pointer Ferns Lock jumped well to win a Fairyhouse Hunter Chase on his debut under rules in November. The 6-year-old has clearly got plenty to find with Billaway but he’s open to plenty of improvement in the sphere and he could develop into a high class hunter chase.

With Haydock now lost to the weather today’s selections are from Lingfield’s all-weather card.

Lingfield

11:55 – Dance To Paris – 7/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Returned from a 3 month layoff with a fair effort when a 4 length 8th of 13 to Pons Aelius at Kempton in a better contest last time. Now 2lb below her last winning mark, she wasn’t best positioned in a slowly run race last time and better expected for a yard among the winners.

3:22 – Strong Power – 100/30 @ Bet365 – The selection 3 from 6 over C&D, has a handy low draw in stall 1 and this consistent handicapper can go close in the returning blinkers.
