3:40 – Latitude – 5/1 @ Paddy Power & Betfair Sportsbook – Posted a clear career best effort on RPR’s when beating five rivals at Ludlow last month. That win was his first success over fences, but he’s only had four starts over the larger obstacles and a 6lb rise in the weights might not be enough to stop him from following up today. He was withdrawn from a race at the meeting here last time due to softening ground so connections will be hoping the rain stays away.
Cheers
John
Hi all,
Today’s selections are from Musselburgh.

4:45 – Chealamy – 9/2 – Gen – Trainer James Ferguson is 3-8 with his runners in the past 14 days saddles Chealamy who improved on her seasonal return /handicap debut when an improved when 2 ¼ length 2nd of 8 at Southwell 26-days ago. Stall 11 could be better but Billy Loughnane has been booked to take off a handy 5lb.
5:45 – Spioradalta – 7/1 @ Bet365 – A winner of a Catterick nursery last September. He maintained his improvement to finish in the places on his final three starts in nursery company last season. He’s made a good start to the new season finishing third at Nottingham and then was a shade unlucky in the run when a 1 ½ length 2nd of 6 at Ripon 10-days ago. Vulnerable to less exposed types in 3-year-old handicaps but should give his running once more.
Cheers

5:00 – Enjoy The Dream – 14/1 @ Ladbrokes & Paddy Power – Triumph Hurdle winner Lossiemouth is the best juvenile we have seen this season and the most likely winner. However, a chance is taken with the selection who caused a 33/1 surprise when beating Blood Destiny in a Grade 2 at Fairyhouse 19-days ago. However, I don’t think there was any fluke about her success, and she open to further improvement on just her third start over hurdles.

Hi all,
Sandown has been abandoned due to unsafe ground so I’m left with just one selection from Perth.

1:30 – Ginger Mail – 5/2 – Gen – Won a handicap hurdle at Ayr on his seasonal return and has mostly remained in form since. Ran as well as ever when a ½-length 2nd of 7 at Ayr last time. He’s been nudged up 4lb for his latest effort but the cheekpieces go on for the first time and he’s got a favourites chance here
Cheers

Hi all,
Today’s selections are from Punchestown.

5:25 – Monkish – 9/2 @ Bet365 & Paddy Power – Was returning from mammoth 713-day absence when a ½ length runner-up to stablemate Asterion Forlonge in a Grade 2 at Fairyhouse 17-days ago. Granted you have to worry about the dreaded ‘bounce’ given his long absence but the return to 3m is a big plus.
6:35 – Dysart Dynamo – 5/1 – Gen – El Fabiolo is going to be hot favourite after his win the Arkle at the Cheltenham Festival, but he can’t afford to make the mistakes that he made at Cheltenham around here. Stablemate Dysart Dynamo jumped well in the Arkle but he’s a free going sort. He did too much out in front at Cheltenham and was a tired horse when falling at the last. Punchestown is a more speed favouring track and his rivals can’t afford to let him get away out in front. El Fabiolo wins with a clear round but as we saw yesterday there’s no certainties at Punchestown.
Cheers

5:20 – Affordale Fury – 6/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Granted Gaelic Warrior could have too many gears for these at the business end of the race. However, Albert Bartlett runner-up Affordale Fury seemed to appreciate the step up to 3m at Cheltenham last time and provided this turns into a stamina test he won’t be far away.
Perth
4:05 – Autumn Return – 9/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – The selection a winner at Catterick in December looked in need of a step up in distance when a 9 length 4th of 9 in a better race at Kelso 32-days ago. Drops a couple of notches in class here and Brian Hughes 2-2 on the 6-year-old is back in the saddle today.

Hi all,
Today’s selections are from day one of the Punchestown Festival.

5:25 – Gentleman De Mee – 9/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – The Grade 1 William Hill Champion Chase has attracted just six runners, but they include Champion Chase winner Energumene who bids for back to successes in the race. His biggest rival is likely be Leopardstown Grade 1 winner and stablemate Gentleman De Mee who will appreciate drier ground. Energumene is clearly the one to beat but on yielding ground I can see Gentleman De Mee giving him a race.
6:35 – Classic Getaway – 9/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Willie Mullins saddles four of the six runners and I like the claims of the lightly raced Classic Getaway. We haven’t seen the 7-year-old since his good win on chase debut at Gowran Park in November but he’s 2-2 returning from a 150+ day layoff.
Cheers

7:40 – Immutable – 9/2 – Gen – Immutable was ½ length runner-up to one of today’s rivals Trachonitus in a Curragh handicap (1m) last October. He’s 3lb better off here and is open to more improvement of the pair. If he’s ready to roll on his seasonal return won’t be far away. His yard is in good form 3 winners from 9 runners in the past 14-days which is another positive.
Kempton
6:55 – Latitude – 7/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Posted a clear career best effort on RPR’s when beating five rivals at Ludlow last month. That win was his first success over fences, but he’s only had four starts over the larger obstacles and a 6lb rise in the weights might not be enough to stop him from following up today.
