Today’s selections are from Gowran Park and Huntingdon.
Gowran Park
2:15 – Monkfish – 3/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – The formerly smart chaser/hurdler had just two starts last season after returning from a 713-day break with his best performance coming in the first them. He’s not likely to be the force of old but has a good chance on his seasonal return.
Huntingdon
2:35 – Sister Michael – 9/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Seems likely to encounter his optimum conditions of 2m 4f and good ground this afternoon. The 8-year-old was returning from a 390-day layoff when a 5-length 2nd of 8 at Southwell last month. Nudged up 2lb for his latest effort but should be bang there once more for a yard among the winners.
