Today’s selections are from Kempton and Plumpton.
Kempton
4:00 – Max Mayhem – 4/1 @ Bet365 – The 5-year-old won over C&D in April but has been hit and miss on turf on four starts since and ran very poorly at the Shergar Cup 86 days ago. Hopefully he’s been freshened up by the break and is interesting returned to the all-weather. He looks worth a go at 5/1 & bigger.
Plumpton
2:37 – Lord Baddesley – 7/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Western General is capable of better this season, but I wonder if there will be enough juice in the ground for the 5-year-old. That leaves me going with last year’s winner Lord Baddesley who had had run here over fences 14 days ago and won’t be inconvenienced if the ground is good rather than good to soft.
3:07 – Sublime Heights – 12/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – A chance is taken with the selection who an excellent record at Plumpton with three wins including two over C&D. Poor return at Stratford last month but I’m hoping he’ll return to form back here. The 7-year-old who’s form line at Plumpton when racing between 26 to 45 days since his last run is 21211.
