Today’s selections are from Ascot and Catterick.
Ascot
3:45 – King Of Steel – 4/1 @ Bet365 – Runner-up in the Derby and third in the King George VI in July can go close on ground and over a distance that should suit. There’s a Group 1 in the colt and it could come today. If any jockey can get him to win its Frankie Dettori.
Catterick
3:40 – Manila Scouse – 5/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Gained a first career win over C&D last October and added to the success with wins at Haydock & Chepstow in August. He was ½ length behind Vintage Clarets at York and is 1lb better off here. Well held at Haydock seven days later but goes well on soft ground and must be considered.
