Today’s selections are from Ascot, Newmarket, and the Curragh.
Ascot
1:50 – Rage Of Bamby – 11/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – A useful juvenile she ran no sort of race on seasonal return in April. However, was seen in a much better light on her return from a 4 month absence when a neck 2nd of 14 in 5f handicap at York’s Ebor Festival. Less exposed than most of her rivals, likes top of the ground and should prove suited by s stiff 5f.
Newmarket
2:05 – Midnite Runner – 8/1 @ Bet365 & Coral – Improved to win a Thirsk novice (7f) on just his start last month. Looks the type to progress with racing and needs serious consideration despite the drop back to 6f.
Curragh
3:30 – Pinafore – 3/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Gained a third success of the season when winning a Nottingham handicap 11 days ago. Strong at the finish that day and she handled the very testing ground so won’t be fazed by the underfoot conditions. Likely doesn’t need to improve on her first start in Listed company and has a favourites chance if they go quick.
