Apart from Saturday’s and big midweek festivals I have decided to post up any selections as late as possible.
Today’s selections are from Catterick and Sandown.
Catterick
3:20 – Liberty Breeze – 7/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Won this race 12 months ago off a lower mark and gained a third C&D when successful two starts back. A solid ¾-length 2nd of 9 over C&D 14 days ago and expected to go close again provided the rain doesn’t arrive before post time.
5:05 – Spartakos – 15/2 @ Bet365 & William Hill – The selection won here over 7f last August from 1lb lower. A solid enough 3 ¾ length 4th of 11 at Ayr 9 days ago. The cheekpieces are reapplied for this drop back to 6f. His best form has come on good to soft/soft ground so he might need the rain to arrive but has a handy low draw for a prominent racer and should run well.
Sandown
7:40 – Night Arc – 7/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Back to form on his last two start finishing runner-up at Newbury and Doncaster. He came up against a well-treated horse last time. Nudged up 2lb since his Doncaster effort but remains on a competitive mark and can win a handicap like this.
