Today’s selection come from the final day of Newmarket’s Guineas Meeting.

3:00 – Via Sistina – 4/1 @ Bet365 & Paddy Power – Posted a career best on debut for new trainer George Boughey when a neck 2nd of 13 in a Group 3 here (1m 2f) last October before winning a Group 3 at Toulouse the following month. The mare is very effective on soft ground and even though she drops back to 1m 1f here the testing ground should bring stamina into play. The 5-year-old has just had the 8 career starts and is capable of more improvement this season.
5:25 – Rathgar – 9/2 @ Bet365 & Paddy Power – Steadily improved on each three starts as 2-year-old and got off the mark to win a novice at Goodwood (1m 1f) last October. Returns from a 210-day break but looks capable of more improvement over middle distances as a 3-year-old. Capable of going well on handicap debut.
