Today’s selections are from Nottingham, and Kempton.
Nottingham
3:15 – Racingbreaks Ryder – 4/1 @ Bet365 – The selection got off the mark when winning a soft ground maiden at Brighton last October. He looks interesting on his seasonal return/ handicap debut off a mark off a mark of 79.
3:50 – Coquelicot – 4/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Twice a winner over hurdles at the end of 2022 and rated 127 over timber. The mare qualified for handicaps on the flat when a 5 ¼ length 4th of 6 at Southwell (1m 4f) 29-days ago. The ground should suit and the step up to 2m looks ideal for her. A mark of just 71 looks more than workable compared to her hurdle mark and she should go close.
Kempton
7:45 – Rainbow Fire – 7/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Lightly raced for his age, the five year-old won on stable debut for Marco Botti at Newbury last September. Placed on two starts here when trained by the Gosden’s, he’ll be fine on returned to the all-weather and he’s just 2lb above his last winning mark. Look capable of a big run in a competitive 7f handicap.
