Today’s selections are from Sandown and Wolverhampton.

4:10 – Run To Milan – 11/2 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – Won a veterans chase at Exeter from a 5lb higher mark last February and posted a seasonal best when a 7 ¼ lengths 3rd of 18 to Wishing And Hoping in Veterans’ Handicap Chase Final over C&D last time. Trainer had a double at Ffos Las this week and the ease in the ground has come in time for him.
4:45 – Nocte Volatus – 6/1 @ Bet365 – A useful handicap chaser, who was beaten a neck in this race 12 months ago from a 2lb lower mark. Shaped with encouragement when a 2 ¾ length 2nd of 7 at Hereford on seasonal return. Has been set tough tasks on his last two starts but dropped back in class here and handicapped to be competitive.
Wolverhampton
2:40 – Angel Bleu – 11/4 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – A smart juvenile winning the Group 1’s Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere at Longchamp and a Group 1 Criterium International at Saint-Cloud. Not quite at his best on three starts as a 3-year-old although he did end the season with a 4 ¼ lengths 5th of 7 to Baaeed in the Group 1 Sussex Stakes at Goodwood. Takes a big drop in class for his return to action and all-weather debut and should be bang there if back to his best.
There are likely to be selections tomorrow but Monday will be a blank day as I gear up for the start of the Cheltenham Festival. All next week’s selections will be from Cheltenham.
