Today’s selections are from Newcastle and Ffos Las.
Newcastle
2:35 – French Paradoxe – 3/1 @ Bet365 – Ended last season with a win over fences at Doncaster and began this this one with an improved win at Wetherby. He was also set to score when falling at the last at Ffos Las last month. Has a 7lb rise in the weights to contend but is open to further progress over fences.
Ffos Las
3:25 – Lightonthewing – 2/1 @ Bet365 & Coral – Modest over hurdles, the 8-year-old jumped well when making a winning debut over fences at Exeter 30-days ago. The runner-up has won since so the form looks solid enough. Both career wins on heavy but if he’s not dependent on testing ground can defy a 7lb rise in the weights.
