Today’s selections are from Epsom, Doncaster, and Listowel.
Epsom
3:10 – Mutasaabeq – 2/1 – Gen – Any ease in the ground will suit the selection as he handled soft ground very well when winning at Thirsk on his seasonal return. Looked unlucky when unlucky a neck 2nd of 6 in a Group 2 at Sandown last time. The only one of the six runners to hold a Group 1 entry. There’s a Group race to be won the colt this season and hopefully it will be today.
Doncaster
3:06 – Salvator Mundi – 7/1 @ Paddy Power & Betfair Sportsbook – Put in an improved performance for the fitting of the first time cheekpieces when winning at Leicester last time. Has the potential to improve further for the step up to 1m 6f. Yard among the winner, including one here last evening.
Listowel
2:50 – Karlsberg – 9/2 @ Paddy Power & Betfair Sportsbook – The selection caught the eye when 2nd of 21 on her seasonal return at the Curragh (6f). Not at the same level of form on either start since but the booking of Colin Keane suggests a better run is expected. The return to 7f should suit as she won over the distance last August.
