Today’s selections are from Catterick & Southwell,
Catterick
2:45 – The Navigator – 13/2 @ Bet365 – Is a consistent handicapper in this grade, having finished third on his last four starts. Tries a new trip here but seemed to stay 1m 5f at Hamilton well enough two starts back so the extra furlong shouldn’t be a problem. The forecast strong pace will suit this hold up performer who won’t be far away again.
3:15 – Excessible – 5/1 @ Coral & Ladbrokes – The selection has dropped back down to a tempting mark. Had them all going from the front two furlongs out in a Class 4 handicap at York 10-days ago before tiring inside the final furlong and finishing 4th of 13. He’s probably a better horse at the minimum trip but this is an easy six furlongs and he drops back into Class 6 company here. Has a handy draw in stall 3 and he can hopefully make his class tell.
Southwell
8:30 – Love The Well – 13/2 @ Bet365 – Trainer Alex Hales has his horses in fantastic form 3 winners from 6 runners 50% in the past 14-days. And he could have another winner here with the selection. The 9-year-old ran a cracker on his stable debut when a running on 3rd of 12 at Market Rasen 15-days ago. That was his first run for 335-days so he’s entitled to be sharper and can land break his maiden tag at the 19th attempt.
