It’s Newmarket & Lingfield today. At first named, it’s the first Group 1 of the season the Coronotion Cup which is normally run at Epsom. Meanwhile at Lingfield it’s Derby & Oaks Trials Day.
Inclyne continued the good form of the Andrew Balding stable and more importantly kept our winning run going for at least another day.

Newmarket
5:55 – Gunmetal – 9/2 – Gen – The 7-year-old had an excellent 2018 winning three times, including the Great St Wilfrid Handicap off 3lb higher. Found life tougher last season off a career high mark. Still a reproduction of 6th of 26 in last years Wokingham, off 9lb higher, would make him tough to beat here.
Lingfield
3:15 – English King – 5/2 @ Coral & Bet365 – The son of Camelot built on the promise of his Newmarket racecourse debut when winning a 1m 2f Newcastle maiden race 197-days ago. The second & third have both gone onto win since so the form looks reliable. The step up to 1m 3 ½ f will suit on breeding and whilst he takes a step up in class, looks capable of the improvement required to win this Derby Trial.
